Haiti Relief 2010

     
   
  Miami-Dade rescuers search a collapsed school Thursday night in Haiti. There were dozens killed in this building alone.

  Residents in this Haiti neighborhood alerted us to several survivors in this school. This four story school collapsed pancake style (flat) and this leaves voids that people can be alive in even days after the earthquake.

  After searching a school in Haiti Thursday night. A Miami-Dade rescuer works fevereshly to remove a trapped Haitian student. Rescuers often had to work within inches of survivors and victims in in order to remove tons of debris from around him.

  After over five hours of digging by Miami-Dade rescuers this Haitian student is being brought down from the rubble. There were dozens of students that died in this school collapse.

  A 2-year-old baby girl was removed from the debris today by Miami-Dade Fire Rescue search team members. Emotions run high for rescuers especially when young children are still found alive.

  Miami-Dade Fire rescuers are peering into an opening they just created while searching for this 2-yr-old in her trapped home. The wall was demolished in minutes by the hard charging firefighters from Florida Task Force 1. This entire rescue wouldn't have been accomplished without the incredible alert by K-9 "Blaze" and his handler with FL-TF1 Steve Driscoll.
